Perinatal Therapy
Support for your fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum journey
The journey into parenthood brings profound changes. Therapy can provide the support to navigate these transitions with confidence and clarity. You don’t have to carry the weight of this new chapter or your old wounds alone.
Perinatal therapy honors your whole experience of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood: the joy, the grief, the fear, and everything in between. Together we can explore the big emotions, navigate challenges like anxiety or intrusive thoughts, and build tools that help you feel more grounded and supported.
Whether you’re processing birth trauma, pregnancy loss, or learning to trust yourself in this season, therapy is a place to feel seen, cared for, and empowered.
What does therapeutic support look like during the perinatal period?
It’s different for everyone. It might look like…
EMDR for birth or medical trauma
Bereavement support after pregnancy loss or termination
Preparing for another pregnancy after previous loss or birth trauma
Strengthening connection and communication with a partner during this transition
Supporting secure attachment between parent and baby
Exploring ways to build social and community support
Fostering self-compassion
Collaborating with reproductive psychiatrists
Evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as inference-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure response prevention for perinatal obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
Connecting you to local resources, support groups, or classes
Building Your Village
What makes perinatal therapy with me different?
The transition into motherhood can be beautiful, disorienting, and completely life-altering, all at once. My own experience of birth trauma, postpartum depression, and the identity shift of first-time motherhood led me to this work.
I am a member of Postpartum Support International (PSI), an organization dedicated to raising awareness and improving care for perinatal mental health around the world. I’ve completed advanced training through PSI and am currently working toward my Perinatal Mental Health certification.
My blend of professional training and lived experience of real motherhood allows me to offer therapy that is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and deep respect for your journey.
